CadillacPat Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Real nice Mark!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You've done some great work laying those Decals down over compound and complex curves. CadillacPat
bigphoto Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Very well done! was all the purple decal or did you have to paint some? If you had to paint what brand and color did you use?
Erik Smith Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 Outstanding work. Really impressive paint and decals - that is a complicated body to cover. I really can't imagine the amount of work put into that body!
Scale-Master Posted April 12, 2012 Author Posted April 12, 2012 Thanks guys. The purple is supposed to be all decal, but it needed to be touched up in several places due to the cracking issues. I mixed the color from Testors Panther Pink and Dark Sea Blue with a little Dupont Violet. Overall it was not a difficult or complicated kit to build or decal, I'd say time consuming is a better description, (plus a lot of decal solvent). The base white is Mazda touch-up paint I thinned with about 80% lacquer thinner. The rest is decals.
