TALES FROM THE STYRENE CRYPT

Well, no, these don't necessarily have to be creepy or eerie stories about models or model building, but in the last few weeks I've been having these very strange dreams about models, model building, and model cars in particular . . . probably because I have not had any bench time in the last couple of weeks. Go figure, real work is keeping me busy.

Anyway, I've been having these strange dreams about a night model car museum where everyone in the museum is walking around eating cheese burgers and fries and there are thousands of models on the table and my job is to protect the models, but folks keep picking them up with their greasy fingers, and there are way too many models on the tables.

Perhaps these are regret dreams for not being able to attend the NNL East show this year, or last year for that matter.

I've also been having build dreams where I start building a model car and it keeps going, and going, and going and I realize I am never going to finish it, and no, it's not a limo build. LOL. I know some of the best builds I've made have come to me in dreams . . . and those ARE some very pleasant dreams . . . indeed.

Ahhh! Doc, don't tell me this. I've had tp pull out of going to NNL East this year and now I'm going to start having dreams about walking hamburgers grabbing models and buying too much aftermarket stuff? Wahhhh!!!! ...

I do too, Rick, poor EYEGORE is about to turn 22 years old here and I am worried about him not being able to bring me new bodies to work on!

sometimes, when i have very strong drive to build something, but something (at least my own laziness) keeps me off the bench i also have it stongly "on my mind" also during the night. it is always "only" state of mind and mans psyche what brings situations like you describe. what i can recommend to help for healthy strong sleep is tea from balm herbs before going to bed. but the best is to stay calm, cool, relaxed in general..

Hey Doc... Rest assured that there will probably be plenty of us eating those cheeseburgers and fries on Friday night... We'll most likely be sucking down a few cold ones too. Hopefully though, all of us will wash our greasy hands before we start touching any models on Saturday... Sorry you can't make the trip... It sucks sometimes when life gets in the way doesn't it...???
