SBourget Posted April 29, 2012 Author Posted April 29, 2012 Thanks for the info guys. Lets say all goes well and I make a hood that will work. Is it hard to make a master to cast others? Are there people willing to do that part of it? Sorry for all the questions, just digging for info..
Chad Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 Moebius Great Dane Reefer and new Italeri Western Star? Is that the lowmax? I love that truck!!! Chad
Ben Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 If you make a nice hood master, there are several resin casters that would probably cast it for you. Eric at P&P Resins is one of them. He's here on the forum.
dieseldog1970 Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 Just a quick note regarding the name Constellation, this actually refers to the cab, that debuted IIRC...1999-2000. Anything built before this date is considered a Heritage cab, both of the Italeri Western Star's are 5900 models with a Constellation cab. Western Star Trucks Kelowna B.C. dieseldog1970 Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 The name Starlight refers to the sleeper, this was a new design for the company. The floor was two pieces of aluminum with a composite material sandwiched between them. If you look at the side profile of corrugated cardboard, this is what it resembled.
