Trumpeter '64 Falcon distributor help

The distributor (part numbers A50 & A45) in the Trumpeter 1964 Falcon Sprint Hardtop Street & Strip kit has me scratching my head. Does the coil wire connect into the distributor itself or is it a separate coil?

I dont have the kit, but it should come off the center tower on the cap and go to the remote mounted coil.

The kit has a weird shaped distributor, Shane. I'm not sure how to describe it other than it has a large piece to one side. I looked at some car magazines and catalogs and can't find anything like it.

the large piece you describe is the vacume advance. center wire from dis. to your coil and a vacume line to the base of the carb.
