Hedgehog Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Hi all the builders out there. I have a question for all of you guys. I need to chop pieces from a body and put them in another. What saw blades should I use? For this job and all the chopping in general. Thanks to all who take the time to help with advices.
ewaskew Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 I use a K&S Brand saw with the fine cut blade on it.You can get them at most hobby shop's. You can look I think it say's on the pack 42 tooth blade or something like that not sure about the tooth count number. The smaller the teeth and the more of them on the blade is what you want. If you use what is known as a Jewelers saw the blades change out,but they can be aggravating some times.
trogdor Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Zona makes nice saws. http://www.zonatool.net/razor-saws.html
VW Dave Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 I've got a thin saw blade that fits in my #1 X-Acto, which is no bigger than a #11 blade, and it's pretty much all I use now. A few guys I know of swear by PE saw blades, but I haven't tried them yet.

A few guys I know of swear by PE saw blades, but I haven't tried them yet. That's what I use too, even though I have both a Zona and Xacto saw, too (the Xacto has a much deeper blade). The blade that fits in my #1 Xacto handle is about all I use anymore. I have been known to use hacksaw blades, too, depending on the precision I need.
