Guest JamesDE Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 Did this for a club build off on another forum... Paint is inca gold and misted with duplicolor metal cast orange... Wheels are from the 62 Impala
Dr. Cranky Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 James, that color is acting like a transference orange, almost flip-flop. I love it. Can you tell us a little bit about the paint? Thanks for sharing.
Guest JamesDE Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 Hey Virgil... Thanks for the compliment.... I used Testors one coat lacquer Inca Gold... Then I hit it up with two mist coats of duplicolor metal cast orange... And used Testors Wet Look Clear....
Bartster Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 Very slick looking 'Vette in record time. Hats off & big Attaboy your way!
outlaw035 Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 james...good look'n 63...luv the color and the wheels look grt8...had a 63 for almost 30 yrs was an awesome car....
mysterj1 Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Absolutely gorgeous car, and I really appreciate your eye for scale. Normally I dislike 22" (or some silly size) wheels on classics, but you really selected a great look. Also, I'm going to plagiarize your paint idea...love it! Joe
DumpyDan Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Mam oh man this is sweet, the color is spot on, makes the car look like it has custom work done. BRAVO!
Tom Setzer Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 (edited) Very Nice 63 Split window, The paint job looks Great! Edited April 25, 2012 by Tom Setzer
