Jim B Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 I was given the Arii 1/700 USS Fletcher by a friend of mine back in 1999 who wanted to get me into ship modeling. Well, it took me a long time to finish her, but I managed to get her done back in February 2009. I used the Flagship Models Spruance-Class P/E set, and the JAG Collective Warning Circles set. I also swapped out the VLS system for the ASROC launcher to "back date" the kit a little. Although there was a ASROC launcher in the kit, I used a resin one from JAG Collective. I also added small chan on the foredeck for anchor chain. So, this is the look I was going for:
Wagoneer81 Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Very nice! 1/700 is a little smaller than I like to build... Nice PE, nice paint, all around, a nice clean build!
jeffb Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 anybody know if theres a pe kit for the revell 1/240 four stacker?
Jim B Posted April 29, 2012 Author Posted April 29, 2012 Not sure, but you can try Gold Medal Models.
Wagoneer81 Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 GMM, yes. Set 240-5. $48.00. Equips both the DE Buckley kit and a four-stacker, Ward, Bligh, etc...
