Harry P. Posted July 30, 2007 Author Posted July 30, 2007 A little progress... and yet another Pocher surprise. Check out the fine fit of the hood! Looks like I have a little re-engineering to do...
Harry P. Posted August 6, 2007 Author Posted August 6, 2007 A little sheet styrene and bondo works wonders... The body has been permanently attached to the chassis...fenders next.
Olle F Posted August 6, 2007 Posted August 6, 2007 This is very impressive, but at the same time it's sad to see all the problems. I don't expect these kits to be easy to build, but I really thought that the engineering and fit would be much better. Have been thinking about getting a Pocher kit of some kind, but now I'm not so sure anymore. I get mad enough when the parts in a $10 1:25 kit don't fit, so it might not be good for my sanity...
Harry P. Posted August 6, 2007 Author Posted August 6, 2007 Pochers are known for their fit issues...so I knew going in what was in store. Nothing that can't be fixed with a little bondo or ingenuity. In the end it's all worth it, because the finished models are pretty impressive.
Harry P. Posted August 13, 2007 Author Posted August 13, 2007 It's been a while since my last update, but I've been plugging away. I still need to install the windshield, the headlights, and clean up the wiring, but here's where I'm at: I've spent several hours working on the hood...adding styrene and Bondo to the panels in order to improve the fit. The next photos I post should be of the finished product!

Fisher61 Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 That thing looks gorgeous, Harry ! And your moving right along on it ! I haven't built a thing since you started this one! If I was building this, I probably would have put it back in the box after 3 days ! Can't wait to see this finished !
