Bruno Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 Hi erveryone! I sent my pictures for the Revell / Gearz contest yesterday and still have not received the confirmation email from Revell. Am I the only one? Have you guys received that confirmation email? I am wondering if I should try again...
Dr. Cranky Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 I never received any confirmation for last year . . . then again I sat out this year.
moparmagiclives Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 I'll let you know when I get mine done tonight and submited tomorrow...nothing like waiting till the last min right
BKcustoms Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 Did you shrink the pic size down to 2 MB? If not they won't go through.
BKcustoms Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 I tried to submit my pics last night and it just kept trying to submit for 2 hours with no success
mopar01lee Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 Well I submitted mine lastnight an didn't get an email....
rhs856 Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 Same here. I tried submitting twice Sunday, once through Chrome and once through IE, and never went to the "Thank You" page or got a confirmation email. I sent an email asking if the size for each picture needed to be less than 2M or if it meant the total for all pictures, and I haven't heard anything back. I imagine they're getting swamped with the end date being today, but with this being the second year, this should really be more streamlined.
moparmagiclives Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 The deadline is "on" or before the 15th right ???
rhs856 Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 (edited) The deadline is "on" or before the 15th right ??? Yes. Edit: Has anyone successfully submitted? What browser were you using? How many pictures did you submit? What size were they? Edited May 15, 2012 by rhs856
SuperStockAndy Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 It went to the "Thank you" page for me, no email yet. Just entered a couple minutes ago. Oh, and all my images were around 500 KB.

mopar01lee Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 I got to the thank you page. An I uploaded 5 pics around 250kb. An 400kb....
KevinMoparFord Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 I got to the thank you page and that was last week. Never did get an email.
The70judgeman Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 Wasn't sure if I really wanted to enter the contest, but tried to submit the info and pics anyway to see what would happen. Didn't get past the entry page though. Looked like it was going and then went back to a blank entry form.
SuperStockAndy Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 I wonder if the total combined size for all pictures can't be over 2M. It really isn't clear. If that's the case then that blows...that's only 200 kb a piece!
rhs856 Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 If that's the case then that blows...that's only 200 kb a piece! I hear you! I was impressed that I was able to get them below 2M! How are the judges going to read the odometer?
Bruno Posted May 15, 2012 Author Posted May 15, 2012 I got the "thank you" page when I sent my pics, just not received the confirmation email. I see I am not the only one who has not received that email. Let's just hope everything is ok and they got our pics. Good luck everyone!
ewaskew Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 I'm not a computer expert by any means, but it seems like Revell could have an auto sizer on the contest form. After all they require us to by new models that are on the list for the contest. I didn't have a problem with that but I did have problems loading them on to the contest form. Yes I did get mine through, however I almost gave up like others have. And to give up entering after all the money and time is spent in building a car for the contest sucks. Theres no where that I saw where you could tell them about the work you put in to the kit for those of us who entered detailed kits either. Maybe if some Revell Reps read this topic they can fix these problems and make it better for the next contest. I know this much though if I enter it next time,my photos will be down sized to 2MB or less early in the game.
Geordi08 Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 Given that it seams that no one got a thank you email, myself included, then they are at least consistent. Maybe the question should now be did anyone get anything?
BOSWELL891 Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 (edited) There is a link to an auto sizer on the contest form I will have to use it all my pics are over 2mb Edited May 15, 2012 by BOSWELL891
ewaskew Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 There is a link to an auto sizer on the contest form I will have to use it all my pics are over 2mb I used that link on the contest form to get mine down sized the way they wanted. It still should be set so that we just have to load our photos and forget it.
