Nick Winter Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Some of you may know that the T tops on Trans Am's have a mirrored tint to them, almost like a pair of mirrored sun glasses, I'm wondering how to replicate this in scale. Nick I appreciate the help, I'm sort of at a stand-still till I get the T Tops Figured out.
JamesW Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Are you starting with clear parts, or are they already smoked? If they're clear the best thing I can suggest is getting a can of Nightshades from your local auto parts store. Don't know how well you'd get the mirrored effect cuz I've never used the stuff, YET.
Nick Winter Posted May 17, 2012 Author Posted May 17, 2012 Yes, sorry, the parts I'm starting with are clear.
Fat Brian Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 (edited) Find a local place that does window tinting and ask them if you can buy one square foot of mirrored tint. They might just give it to you if the have some scraps laying around but it shouldn't cost more than a few bucks. Edited May 17, 2012 by Fat Brian
Nick Winter Posted May 17, 2012 Author Posted May 17, 2012 Actually the guys Next door to my work do Tinting, I'll ask them.
