impcon Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Like most everyone who likes things that just were never available from the main stream model kit companies and things that are bit - shall we say - not exactly muscle cars or convertibles, I find myself looking at resin kits and conversion products. I think that it is safe to say that there are definitely some resin producers who seem to produce a superior product but what do you think of two sub forums - one where casters can show us their newest offerings - And a second where casters and potential buyers can exchange suggestions and ideas and that would not be limited to just suggestions about new kits, bodies or parts but also to CONSTRUCTIVE, REALISTIC OPINIONS AND CRITICISM AND NOT HOSTILE BASHING AND NAME CALLING as I have seen here in the past on occassion. I;d suggest that the rules of conduct and posting ettiquette be STRICTLY monitored and enforced and if a thread gets out of hand, it gets pulled. There are ways of politely suggesting improvements and changes which would result in a better and more accurate product and we are capable of acting and conducting ourselves like adults and being respectful. The reason that I suggest this is because it may be easier and quicker to search through the posts for reviews of a caster's product(s) and perhaps some sort of rating system set up based on quality, bang for your buck, delivery time and quality verses price. Now I realize that we all have different levels of expectation when it comes to what is good and what is not so good and what is excellent! This may not be such a good idea to the moderators or to somemembers here but it's just an idea that I thought t hat I would throw out there and if it gets squashed, well, at least I spoke my mind. I personally think that as long as it is properly and strictly monitored, it could be very helpful to potential and new buyers and as for the "Caster's Showcase", it would keep us abreast of what's available and what is being discontinued. Again, I know that not all the casters browse the forums but I am sure that a lot of them lurk and just read to glean inspiration and ideas. Thanks for taking the time to read this and I can;t help but wonder if anything may come of this idea?
