Molding help

does anybody know how to do molds if you only have half of the piece??I bought a mpc 69 charger 500 and only half of the rear bumper ever showed up (in 2 pieces by the way).i really like the kit and was just wondering if anyone knew anything.

Never done any molding myself. Seems to me that you would have to sculpt the second half form scratch in clay or something similar then mold and cast that. Unless you can make a thin mold of existing part out of silicone pop it inside out and make a mold of that (not sure if it will work.

You might be better off to ask if anyone has one they can spare. Someone here has a ton of bumpers I saw in another post. I think the topic said something about model gods.

Try contacting Polar Lights. The bumper is still around in thier General Lee kits.

Riley - I'm sure I have a useable spare that I wouldn't miss, as I took an MPC/AMT Charger parts lot in trade not too long ago; email or PM me your address and it's yours.

i don`t need it anymore. the thing was trashed,taped together, half of the rear bumper, no steering wheel, cracked windshield, worn grille , and to boot a huge crack in the hood .covered it in bondo and using it as a restoration in progress for my garage...
