W-409 Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 I just started building Moebius Models' Tim Flock Chrysler, and I have one question so far about it. I'm trying to make a Period Correct car, of course. I might have more questions later too, but first I need to find an answer to this: Did these Stock Cars have a carpet back in the day? So should I flock it or just paint it black, as the instructions say.
W-409 Posted June 2, 2012 Author Posted June 2, 2012 Thanks For the information, Jacen! So they really were Stock cars. Yes, I will flock my Flock car .
rel14 Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 Stock, they bought it up north at detroit, then drove it to Daytona, signed the papers, and raced it,,Stock. Stock car
W-409 Posted June 3, 2012 Author Posted June 3, 2012 What color I should paint the chassis? Somekind of primer and white overspray combination, or just flat black as the instructions say? Since some other Mopars have oversprays on the chassis, I'm not sure about this one. And one question about the interior too. Should I fill that seam what came when I glued the bench seat parts together, or does real 300 Chrysler have somekind of seam on that place?
W-409 Posted June 6, 2012 Author Posted June 6, 2012 Luckily I managed to find answer on that seat problem. But then I found this picture and realized, that I must fill a part of that seam, but not completely. Then I filled it and now it's ready for paint. And I guess that the chassis was black, since in every 1/25 Chrysler, I've seen, the chassis is painted flat black. So that's what I will do next.
