Hi,

So I'm building this as a gift for my Brother-in-law, what do you all think of the stance I have for it?

Tires & wheels are the custom set from the Revell 35th Anniv. Camaro. Plans call for using the custom seats from the 48 Ford Convert kit and maybe the 6 deuce equipped 389 Pontiac from the AMT 36 Ford kit.

I don't know if you're concerned with realism or not...but with that wheel/tire combo you couldn't turn and go over a bump at the same time without some serious interference from the wheel cutout.

I agree with Harry, but as for the stance, I would lower the nose a touch to bring the front fender linse closer to level. Other wise looks like it will be cool! Paul

Captured2007-1-700000.jpg Hey brother, this is one I did several years back with Testor's smoothster set of tires and rims. You can go wild with these kits, a lot of potential. This one is the AMT kit..............

I'm not to concerned with realism on this kit. I mean, after all, I "lowered" it in the rear by cutting off the rubber bumpers on the frame and then sanding down the top of the pumpkin until it sat level on the frame rails :P

The front of the frame is not positioned against the bottom of the inner fender panels in these pictures. I may a slightly warped frame because when I hold the frame against the bottom of the front fener panels the rear of the frame raises up from the bottom of the interior compartment.

I was thinking of perhaps notching the frame rails in the front a bit for the front axle to set lower. Once I assure myself that the frame is square I'll see what the stance will be like then.

Thanks

Here's how i would make it sit, I always thought woodies should have a decent amount of rake.

I'd like to get mine looking about like that as long as I don't have to do too much work. This model will also need to be shipped to Utah from the East Coast so I can't have too many fragile connections. He's not a model builder and would not be able to reattach parts.
