Duggz Posted July 4, 2012 Author Posted July 4, 2012 Nice job Doug, that is a very hard kit and you did fantastic, how do you like the 3 piece cab? that kick my !?!@! the first time I did one. added another gray hair. Beautiful job. Thanks Mike. It was not bad my cab parts came out of the box nice and square. The only thing I did not like were the ladders. Other than that it was not bad for my 1st time building this kit. Thanks again.
Duggz Posted July 4, 2012 Author Posted July 4, 2012 Thank you guys again. It is almost done and I will post some more pics when I am finished.
lapazleo Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 Agree on those steps, not sure why AMT modeled those as the were a very short lived design for 1972 I think, most shakers have the improved version. Only one I ever seen with them was a Freightliner show truck in pictures. The big trick to the multi piece cab is to blocksand the parts first to get the edges good and flat. You did a great job on a tricky kit.
