cchapman195 Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 I was wondering if anybody has tried Jacquard Lumiere Acrylics? and what kind of results they produce. http://www.dickblick...miere-acrylics/ They have a great variety and can be used with an airbrush. I use there pearl ex powders and love the results I get from them. they are pretty cheap as well.
Monty Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 (edited) The colors I saw in your link resemble some of the paint options (Emberglow etc) & colors typically offered by US auto mfrs in the '60s & '70s, so that's a positive. If they're cheap and you already like their Pearl Ex powders, why not try some? Slightly related: A friend of mine built this Freightliner daycab a couple years ago & achieved those colors by airbrushing Pearl Ex powders in clear instead of using paint. HTH. cchapman195 Posted June 27, 2012 Author Posted June 27, 2012 Thanks Monty, that's a nice rig. Pearl Powders are amazing to use. I believe I am going to order Jacquard Lumiere Acrylics and give them a try. At 2.25 oz for $3.76 it's worth trying.
