Harold Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 This is a '65 Lincoln with front and rear chassis sections from AMT's '62 Thunderbird.
philo426 Posted July 11, 2012 Author Posted July 11, 2012 Looks like it has a double fuel tank but looks realistic.
Harold Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 When they stretched the Lincoln's wheelbase for '64, they moved the gas tank to behind the axle, and the former tank location became a much deeper trunk floor.
Harold Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Thanks Philo. I did this one about four years ago. Unfortunately, it was consumed in a fire last year.
dig Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Great idea n execution on that 65 Linc! I did one w/ a stretched pro street chassis from the Lincoln Mark V kit. I've got a 62 resin linc on deck n haven't decided how I'm doing it yet. I may look around for one of those t-birds now!
jdcar32 Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 I just gotta put stuff down there, even if nobody's gonna see it....32 Ford, 57 Ford, 49 Ford, 59 Biscayne, 64 Dodge, 64 Marauder.
