jbwelda Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 hey guess what...it costs about 8$ to ship from california to anywhere in canada. i am pretty sure it doesnt cost much more than that from anywhere in the usa. this is first class, no tracking, no airmail, no fringes, just delivery. so if the guy is charging more than about 12$ including a new box and packing material, he is totally ripping you off. ebay is fairly sympathetic to such things these days. tell him you will pay actual postage for first class or you will report him for gouging on shipping...and if he doesnt dont bother with that just move on. thats my advice from long time buying and selling... i hate people who try to make the shipping a profit center.

Sadly, thats becoming the norm on ebay, I have passed up a lot kits because the seller was charging $12 or more to ship in the states
rel14 Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 I live in south Fla. and shipping a model to canada only cost me roughly 11-12 dollars,, that seller is one of them trying to do the get rich program..

Greg Wann Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 I have mailed items to Canada cheaper than I have across the USA. Same size box and pretty much the same weight.
mademan Posted July 13, 2012 Author Posted July 13, 2012 Seller replied back today, and shipping was $8.00 he told me that he would redund the extra that I had payed, however I thanked him for the offer, but he didnt need to. He was acutally surprised as he only ever prints his labels and sends items, and didnt realise that you could ship for cheaper. Needless to say , we are both happy with the transaction, he assusre me that it didnt cause any extra work or for him to go out of the way, so I was glad to hear that. this topic can now be closed. Thanks
