vintagestang Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 I want to lift the Revell 1965 Chevy stepside but I don't know how.I also want to turn it into a dually. I know what to do with the fenders but what would I do to the wheels? I want it to be a four by four so I need help with that. Last thing. I want to scratch build a supercharger.
Casey Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 If it has leaf springs all around, they either need to be arched more, or you can add lift blocks between the axle tubes and the leaf springs. I think you'll need dually style wheels no matter what. What type of supercharger? It would be easier for us to suggest a kit which might have one, but if you wan to make one yourself, you can do that, too.
vintagestang Posted July 13, 2012 Author Posted July 13, 2012 It has leaf springs in rear and a normal suspension set up in front. How do I lift the front? I will dig out my dad's supercharger and go off of thar.
01blueedge Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 here is a link to making leaf springs http://public.fotki.com/modeljeeper/models/working_leaf_suspension/
