shafer Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 (edited) Built this to park beside the dirt track car, it is a lindbergh kit left the engine bay white because , there is a pic of lee petty standing beside one in the Cars of The King book , and it has a white engine bay.BTW this was my first ever attempt at bare metal foil, I still used paint on window trim but wanted the chrome strips to show up. bbowser Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Nice job Clyde. If I remember correctly, they painted the engine room white to make it easier to spot oil leaks and the like. Jacen can shed more light I'm sure?
shafer Posted September 1, 2012 Author Posted September 1, 2012 Well done. The white engine bay was ore often the team car. Richard's was always blue. i did not know that . thanks
