Pullin Gears Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Built to resemble a 10.5'' wide tire car. Front bumper/grill was filled and smoothed to represent an aftermarket fiberglass unit. The raised hood was scratch-built using sheet plastic. Running horse logo is from the Revell 06 Mustang. The paint is Duplicolor touch up, but it did not come out how I wanted it to, one day it might get repainted. Chute mount was bent out of evergreen rod. Cable is string and the release is masking tape painted red. The 10'' Wide racing banner was hand-painted. You can see burnout rubber on the rear quarter panels, and the tag stands for the car still being street legal. Engine started as the stock kit block with the manifolds turned upside down and routed for a single turbo set up. The intake manifold was cut down from a nascar kit, and drilled for a distributor. I put the stock plug wire cover back on just for the fun of it. The exhaust exits the passenger fender, seen in the lower left of the photo. All the tubes for the turbo/intake/intercooler are evergreen rod. Valve covers were taken from a Revell 66 Mustang and black-washed. Interior recieved a full rollcage, a racing seat, and a shift light. Sitting on the passenger side is the scratch-built intercooler built out if sheet plastic, then covered with bare metal foil. The floorboards were also flocked.
