Ira Posted October 5, 2012 Author Posted October 5, 2012 Rockets don't breathe air. They don't need intakes. Cool project, though. I always follow your threads. Thanks Lee! By the way, ALL of my CarToon Rocket Engines NEED Lots of Intakes and Vents!!!... It's like Star Wars Stuff, if it looks Cool...it's Cool!
Ira Posted October 6, 2012 Author Posted October 6, 2012 Oh Man ! You like to cut plastic ! Looking very good ! Good work !! F Thanks for the kind words Fred!
severin681 Posted October 6, 2012 Posted October 6, 2012 Oh man I love CarToons stuff! Loved the magazine too. I will be watching this build. That engine brought a smile to my face! So awesome! Keep em coming! I went through the last 3 pages very quickly excited to see more!
Ira Posted October 6, 2012 Author Posted October 6, 2012 Yes, but you are talking about conventional rockets. These are Ira's SOOPERHITEKCARBONGRAPHITEAMMONIUMPOLYMERGOFAST rockets. I can assure you, they need intakes! Now for my good friend on the opposite coast. have you gone full circle in that you undealing a DW? I thought the idea was to put bigger wheels on a scale car, not smaller wheels on a DW. I'm curious to see where you are taking this. I know it will be crazy! Carry on buddy. Thanks Dave! I always thought the Rear Deals Wheels Van Tires were Way Too BiG! I prefer the "Sleeper" Look for the van, Very Wide Low Tires - Tucked inside the body, with 18,000 Horsepower in the Back...
remingtonbox Posted October 6, 2012 Posted October 6, 2012 What is in the water where you live? Can you send me a bottle of that stuff? I love it!

Ira Posted October 7, 2012 Author Posted October 7, 2012 PORTHOLES!!! I thought Rocket Van Needed some Portholes so, I measured the space and traced a couple of holes... I started the holes with a #11 X-Acto Blade and then I used a Ream to open up the holes. I have some chrome wheel rings that fit these holes if I decide to add trim to the Portholes later...
bryan_m Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 ncie portholes Ira! you need some bubble windows to go in there......they used to be in one of the old van kits, i dont remember which one. im sure you will think of somehting. keep it goin! bryan
BluePopsicle Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 HAHA awesome! It's starting to remind me of the Mystery Mobile from ScoobyDoo.
Foxer Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 I'm frightened ... that pile of engine parts looks GOOD!
Ira Posted October 8, 2012 Author Posted October 8, 2012 Not fair!! I think you're having too much fun, Ira - but keep going. Thanks Jim! This is Too Much Fun...
kyotey1693 Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 I think the port holes need some really cool scoops to accent them. Maybe some round one cut at an angle?
Ira Posted October 10, 2012 Author Posted October 10, 2012 Oh man I love CarToons stuff! Loved the magazine too. I will be watching this build. That engine brought a smile to my face! So awesome! johnbuzzed Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 Ira, the stuff you built for Car Model magazine 'way back was an inspiration for me and I'm glad to see you're still creating works of art. That is a neat project and thanks for sharing it with us.
Ira Posted October 18, 2012 Author Posted October 18, 2012 What is in the water where you live? Can you send me a bottle of that stuff? I love it! Thanks! I don't know exactly what's in the water, but we filter it before drinking!
