I went to Michaels today and picked up this model for 10 bucks. I thought it was worth it.

I bought one some time ago. That tooling is really showing its age. Lots of flashing and mold lines. How was yours when you opened the box?

There was a bit nothing some sand paper and a knife couldnt take care of. Only complaint was i thing more things were chromed then need so it was a bit more work to remove the chrome finish. But all in all its a solid kit.

Worked on the engine block today. I strayed from the suggested paint color and did a steel/sivler mix. I stripped most of the chrome parts so the throttle, intake and blower were painted in a high shine (whats on the lablel not my words lol) silver. Heres a picture of the the block minus the manufolds and headers.

Painted chassis semi black

Painted headers red. I felt lime all my work removing the chrome finish might not be recognized lmfao so the other sprue u see is to do that lol

Ill have much much more tomorrow.

Finished most of the block. Only need to install belts, alt, and exhaust.

Nice score for $10! My only actual gripes with this kit are the lack of a set of black stripes and the design of the center bar of the grille.

I painted the seats late last night. Did them in just a flat black. I think they look really good for not using flocking.

orry guys ive been busy lately but i have made progress. I primed and painter the body.

Im happy with the final outcome.

Looks fantastic... I've built this same kit in a lot of different versions about 5 times over the years. I like the kit because it's accurate in most respects and it's just plain fun. I'll be picking up another one soon as I finish one of the other 8 projects I have on the bench.
