Ace-Garageguy Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 (edited) Why couldn't I get a PC Tower Power Supply Unit 24 or 20 pin connector, clip all the wires from the ports. I'm not familiar with that particular piece of equipment and can't advise you on its applicability here. Surely there's someone on this forum who builds hot-rod PCs and can answer that. William: Will either of these work to power this Bilge Motor ? The way I read it and understand how each piece works, I take that they will but want to be sure before I dish anymore useless money out on this stupid thing lol. Should have just got the Squirell Cage Blower Motor. http://www.ebay.com/...984.m1423.l2649 http://www.ebay.com/...984.m1423.l2649 http://www.ebay.com/...984.m1423.l2649 Any of these should run the motor, but I'd personally still try to go for one with something like a 10amp output. Having more current available than required is always good. The starting load of the fan motor may possibly be a little more than it's rated at, so having more current available is a little insurance. It's kind of like having say, 150 horsepower available in a vehicle that only needs 50 to maintain a steady cruise speed. The extra power is there for acceleration when you need it....not the best possible analogy perhaps, but you get the point. Edited October 15, 2012 by Ace-Garageguy
