pettiner Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 (edited) Retored from previously built set. Original issue kit. The before picture. The after pictures: The paint is House of Kolor can Blue and tamiya pearl white, Rustoleum laquer. Chrome foil. I used all of the original pieces and used a craft store chrome paint for the bumpers, grill, lights and wheels. The trailer is painted Tamiya aluminum and the belair is an older build with after market decals. Edited August 17, 2007 by pettiner
pettiner Posted August 17, 2007 Author Posted August 17, 2007 The kit came with a trailer. The description on e-bay said a smp kit. The paint on the bumpers and wheels is plasti-kote chrome quick dry. I got it at a craft store.

People (me included) seem to restore models, only to modernize them in the end. This one has retained it's original flavor. I love it!
halfpint33 Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 I love it.But I'm kind of partial tho cause I'm restoring a 1:1 '60 chevy truck.Could you by any chance take a shot of the chassis? Was wondering how they done the torsionbar frontend.
pettiner Posted August 27, 2007 Author Posted August 27, 2007 The chassis is just the basic one piece promo style. let me know if you want to see it still.
