The after pictures: The paint is House of Kolor can Blue and tamiya pearl white, Rustoleum laquer. Chrome foil. I used all of the original pieces and used a craft store chrome paint for the bumpers, grill, lights and wheels. I'd like to see a few more builds lke that, where they were restored true to the original build. People (me included) seem to restore models, only to modernize them in the end.
