JunkPile Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Not wanting the shine of chrome Bare Metal Foil, I applied matte aluminum BMF, pressed and burnished down tight prior to trimming as directed and it polished the matte finish to a near chrome shine. Anyone have any ideas how to knock-down some of this shine?
slusher Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Try brushing dullcote on it. spray some in a lid and try a small area..
Cato Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Either 0000 steel wool or a gray 3M scuff pad. Test on a scrap of BMF to get the touch and dullness level you want. Works on kit chrome too. Using metal polish on BMF increases sheen. This is what you can get with it; sheen without gloss:
