icedragon Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 Hi all, While I sit here and wait for this stupid storm to hit us in CT. I am looking for a couple of hoods bot for early 70's Novas, an L88 style and a low cowl style. I am also looking for slapper style traction bars and some decent looking 70's style mags. My wife always wanted an old school Nova, jacked up with side pipes. thanks for any help Rich
camarofreak82_427 Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 The old pro kit had a lot of old school nova stuff in it if i remember right
Casey Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 The current Revell '69 Nova SS has a set of slapper bars, or get resin versions from member sstacey47. Which style of '70s mags? There are many, many different styles. For the hoods, try contacting Ed Fluck @ Drag City Casting: lowcab36@epix.net
icedragon Posted October 29, 2012 Author Posted October 29, 2012 The wife likes the Cragar s/s wheels, the other Nova is for me and I just want something that looks good and from that era. I have the OLD PRO kit but will be buying another 1 or 2, possibly AMT or REVELL. This will depend on what kit the hoods will fit.
krassandbernie Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 Thanks for the 'plug', but I run Drag City Casting, not Speed City Resin! LOL! I offer an L88 hood for the AMT '72 Nova and the Revell '69 Nova. I no longer offer the cowl hood for the AMT Nova though.............Ed
Casey Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 Thanks for the 'plug', but I run Drag City Casting, not Speed City Resin! My brain can't seem to keep the two of them apart, even though I remembered to Google the correct one. Fixed above.
Elliot949 Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 Scenes Unlimited is an excellent resin supplier of big and little Cragar wheels... I just bought a set off of him through ebay but you can go directly to him... Here is the link... http://www.scenesunltd.com/

I no longer offer the cowl hood for the AMT Nova though.............Ed I just picked up one of your L88 hoods for the 72 Chevy pickup on Ebay. Had I known how to contact you I would've ordered directly from you. I'll be in need of a couple more in the future though, as well as one for the 69 Nova.
Alan Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 As far as simple slapper bars, scratch build them. There is not a single kit supplied slapper bar that is accuate and that look any good. They are one of THE easiest parts to make and look waaaaaaaay better on your model. Alan
