RMurphy Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 Tom, Did you try detail the carb linkage? I put fuel lines on the left side but, wasn't sure about where to put linkage. What about that round thing on the side? Is it the automatic choke? What is the thing on the front of the carbs? Fuel filter, maybe? I don't know. Anybody got any ideas on this? How about some pictures? What kind of carbs are they supposed to be replicating? Anybody? Thanks, REX Been busy workin on it trying to get it finished for this weekend show in Zanesville Ohio heres what done so far... engine... CHASSIS AND WHEELS... ramonesblues Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 I believe that the early G.M. tripower carbs were 2gc Rochesters. that is what i have on my tri power on my '57 Chevy. Manifold on mine is an old Offenhauser.
ramonesblues Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 Went looking through my old motors manual and heres a list of what early Cad v8's had. Carter-49-51-wcd two barrel 52-57-wcfb.- four barrel 52-58-4gc- four barrel Rochester-52-58-4gc- four barrel '58-?- 2gc I don't know if this helps or not, or if anyone cares, but thought I'd look it up anyway.
