raildogg Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 I tried to upload some photos from Photobucket once here, but was unsuccessful. So, I searched for a tutorial, I did find it but it was so low quality I couldn't hear it, or get the images clearly, so I gave up. I have a low patience tolerence level. Since then I haven't tried again, I'd to share some of my builds with the membership. I think those of us who have the talent ought to make a clear and concise tutorial for uploading photos and documents, and CAD images such as dwg. and dxf. and maybe even stl. files. Maybe the Moderators could also weigh in here also?.
Casey Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 When the images are already hosted somewhere on the web, like Photobucket, fotki, etc. you don't need to upload them as you would when you use the attachment feature, bur rather cop and paste the appropriate url for the image. For forums, it's the [ IMG ]....... [/ IMG ] url you want. If someone wants to write a clear, concise, complete tutorial, please do!
Guest G Holding Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 I would never think to do a tut for photobucket...because photobucket has excellent support right on the site...look down low...for this: HELP....it will get you here: http://support.photobucket.com/home No rocket science needed to use the bucket...Plus right now you have the "NEW" photobucket coming online. If you use these "dwg. and dxf. and maybe even stl. files." PB is a breeze. You need patience to build models, and for photography, digital or silver you also need patience..
Scuderia Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 I found the new photobucket redesigns annoying and cluttered. For my models i use Fotki, and it's a breeze.
raildogg Posted November 8, 2012 Author Posted November 8, 2012 o.k. I think I have been misunderstood. I didn't mean a full blown tut on how to make photographs , but, simply how to post them correctly. I know the, copy and img thing I just was suggesting that there must be a correct and friendly way to do it successfully. What about CAD files like dxf. and dwg.? Can we add them to posts also?
