What is available in rattle cans that comes close to matching B-5 Blue? I have Testors Saphire Blue metal flake, but it seems a tad dark to my eyes. Thanks in advance, Bart.

What year B5? That paint coding system started in '69 as "EB5"- which is a bit lighter than "GB5" which replaced it for '71 and is probably closer to the Testors sapphire. GB5 was replaced in '74 with KB5 Lucerne Blue which was a little less "intense" and a little lighter again

The Testors enamel seems to change quite a bit based on primer or basecoat

Also seems to be a good selection of blues in rattle cans in Duplicolor touch up paint

Thanks, guys. l'm replicating a friend's '69 GTX. l'm gonna give the saphire blue over white primer a go. lt will be close enough. This will also be my 1st attempt at a vinyl top, which will be white. My main concern is that the blue will look even darker in contrast with the white top.

Lest we forget MB5 (1976) ...

As a former owner of a few examples, forgetting '76 through the end of the "old" Chrysler Corporation might just be all right

Duplicolor has a medium blue thats reasonably close to B5

It's called Bahama Blue metallic.

here is my ( one of many ) stalled project painted with it.
