57peppershaker Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Has anybody kitbashed a Dodge Monaco with a 71 (?) Plymouth gtx / Satalite ? Just wondered if its a possible to come up with a Satalite cop car or its never going to work or look right ?
1972coronet Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Starting with the 1971 models , Plymouth (and their Dodge brethern) B-Bodies shared very little between 2 door and 4 door models ; practically *none* of the sheetmetal interchanges . I've considered making a "4 door 1971 Charger" by bashing the AMT '71 Charger's fascia and rear clip with the 1977/1978 Monaco , but haven't done it yet . Interiors were radically different between 1971-1974 and 1975-1978 models .
Rob Hall Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 It would be neat if someone could master a resin conversion for the '77/78 to do an early '70s Coronet or Satellite.

That's one clean '73 Coronet ( top photo ) . I like its late-1972-issue license plates ! The '72 Satellite is nice looking , too . I would also like to see someone produce a '71-'74 Satellite ( or even a Coronet ) transkit !! Not only were many of these used police , but also as taxis .
