Skydime Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 (edited) Has anyone used the Chezoom chassis as a direct swap to another build? Or does anyone know of a close or direct swap for it? I just found my Chezoom with a ton of my old models that I built when I still lived with my parents. The car is a little worse for wear but, the chassis is in great condition and I think I would like to reuse it. Edited December 13, 2012 by Skydime
Steven Zimmerman Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 I have used it (with modifications) under the AMT 66 Nova, Jimmy Flintstone 60 Chevy sedan delivery, the AMT 67 anf up fleetsides, and a bunch of other bulds...I love it....'Z'
JamesW Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 I'm using one on a 454ss pickup. Needed to be shortened a little, but works great.

I will be bringing the entire junkyard of cars home soon and there is a stepside Silverado of the same bodystyle in the bunch.
Ace-Garageguy Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 Anybody got a photo of the non-snap version of the chassis? I'd like a look to see if it's what I'm needing too.........

Guest Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 The chassis itself is nice. The front and rear suspensions are not.
Steven Zimmerman Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 The front suspension is not accurate. The rear suspension , with a little work...OK, maybe a lotta work, is quite useable.
Lownslow Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 (edited) if you cant find the chassie this is a stripped down version i made using the same dimensions pulled from the original chassie, ready to upload at shapeways http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:34181 Edited December 14, 2012 by Lownslow
Steven Zimmerman Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 The front suspension from any AMT Ford NASCAR kit adapts quite easily to this frame, if you cut the NASCAR framr immediately behind the 'A' arm mounts, and cut this frame just in front of where the front frame starts its first downward bend. I have done about 10 of these.
