SpreadAxle Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 Some of you may not know that Matt Burnett of Monkey Claw Models sold his truck molds to Brad Lawson. Here is a link to Brad's new website, BRL Model Truck Shop. It look slike he added some items. Not all of the old stuff is ready, but I think you will enjoy the lineup. http://www.brlmodeltruckshop.com/Products.html Enjoy
monkeyclaw Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 Ray and other truck modelers; just wanted to let you all know that i am indeed still around....Brad Lawson has indeed acquired a good chunk of my line up; which allowed me to take the summer off! The long & short of it is: Brad will be continuing on with these parts available to modelers, rather than just letting the molds "die" ...I am certain that Brad will take care of the truckers out there; and his site is looking good! As for me; I will be doing some more new truck stuff over the fall / winter months; but the condition of my hands has slowed me down quite a bit, which was also a big factor in the molds going to Brad. I will be shifting my focus to other segments of the hobby for a while; but will continue to keep tabs on what is happening in the truck world...In the near future I will be investing in new equipment which will allow me to continue working in the hobby...even with hands as "gimpy" as mine; Thanks to all...........Matt Burnett
chuckyr Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 Hey Matt, we met at the Hobby Town in Marietta, Georgia earlier this year and talk about truck models. Sorry to hear about your disability. Thanks for doing your part of keeping this hobby alive. I hope you get back in the game soon.
monkeyclaw Posted September 10, 2007 Posted September 10, 2007 Chuck; nice to hear from you....I hope to see you at the Southern NNL in November! Thanks for the nice words; and I do plan to bring some more new resin out for the model truckers; and may well send more of my masters to brad; so that the parts will be available as well in the future..............matt burnett
SpreadAxle Posted September 12, 2007 Author Posted September 12, 2007 Hi there Matt. I know we talked about your hands acting up, but I've been curious to see if things have improved. It's good to hear you'll still be casting. You produced some really cool items, so when I got the email about the new site, I wanted eveyone to know. You've got quite a following, which is a credit to the quality of your work. I hope things get better.
rollinoldskoo Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 does he have a new site? link doesn't work anymore
mountaindewd Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 does he have a new site? link doesn't work anymore oldskoo, Brad is no longer doing the casting. Everything Brad had, including Matt's stuff, is being cast by Budd Ricker at this site now. He is just getting into it, so, he may not have everything up yet. http://riversedgeresins.com/home
