ajshot58 Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 What a SUPERB job!!!! I have a buddy that has a 1:1 '61... it is painted "Black Cherry" which is a black finish, with red highlights.... and Halibrand wheels.... we built a 440 Magnum engine, and 727 Torqueflite tranny, with a push-button shifter...
jdcar32 Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 (edited) Really nice job ! Converting promos or lumpy old resin castings to fully developed models is not for everyone. I'm putting a resin '59 Ford 300 on a '58 Edsel kit. My dremel has been busy. Looks like your promo body excaped the dreaded promo warping demons......... Edited January 11, 2013 by jdcar32
Pete L. Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 (edited) Wow...what a great combination of old and new, excellent !!! I'd love to see some/one of the model companies explore these Mopars from our past . Edited January 11, 2013 by Pete L.
Ron35369 Posted January 11, 2013 Author Posted January 11, 2013 Wow...what a great combination of old and new, excellent !!! I'd love to see some/one of the model companies explore these Mopars from our past . I would like that as well, Pete! I don't think Mopar got as much model car recognition as they should have. Even though I was brought up on GM, I can see the beauty of the older Mopars...Desotos, Imperials, Cryslers as well as Dodge & Plymouth. I would love to see more of them released in styrene.
