SFRC Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 (edited) While the Healey is drying, I started on this Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA racer. It is from the same race class as the red Super. This is the car itself. The base model by Minichamps The deep dish GBs: I am modifying the interior while de body is painted. Some extra bars for the roll cage As the original the interior is spayed in silver. New bucket seat and 4 point harnass, new box for the gear lever with a linkage to the original, fire extinguisher and brake lines. Edited January 11, 2013 by SFRC
SFRC Posted January 11, 2013 Author Posted January 11, 2013 The typical yellow colour looks good on the model Works well with the silver interior
diymirage Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 i remember working on one of those for a belgian guy ages ago if i remember correctly it ran a V6 out of a 155 great little car we replaced just about every body panel with custom fibre glass units and then we added the after market wide body which had to be rivited on what a pain that was
SFRC Posted January 12, 2013 Author Posted January 12, 2013 This one seems much easier! This particular car used to be silver with a standard body. Quite a looker. The owner converted the Giulia after a crash. The front was kind of completely distroyed.
SFRC Posted January 14, 2013 Author Posted January 14, 2013 The old and new engine: Last weekend we did a classic rally and victory was ours. Enclosed a photo of our car on a test. Slightly going sideways...
Erik Smith Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Nice work. I like that color. Great model.
SFRC Posted January 21, 2013 Author Posted January 21, 2013 While glue was drying I made this 'workshop' this afternoon.
