Hey guys, Im getting comfortable building these Nascar kits now Out of the box, I would like to start detailing them now. Im cherry to detailing and have no clue what all needs done to detail a Nascar Model Kit. Could someone please explain the steps of what all needs done to detail a Nascar kit ? Wires, braided lines, spark plug wires, etc. Anything that you can do to add detail to a Nascar Model Kit. What wires go where, start on this part end of this part etc. Step by step of what all needs done to completely detail a Nascar model kit. Im going to attempt this with one kit. Get all the parts I need to detail it. Build one kit, see how it goes and then determine if I want to continue detailing all my kits or go back to building out of box. I have no clue what all needs done to detail a kit so any and all info would be appreciated. Fittings, lines, wires, EVERYTHING ha ha. Thanks again and look forward to the replys. IF you would rather send me a PM feel free. I answer all PM's I get. Thanks again and enjoy your weekend my fellow styrene friends.

look at lots and lots of pictures, find out were all the pumping is run, the brake lines, brake ballis knobs are, were the rear end cooler lines go. The more pictures and information the better, most gauges are turned so the needle points up when all is normal.

The above diagrams are awesome,, now you need to find the locations for everything and were its ran,,

Magazine, books, diagrams, pictures,, the more the better.

Good luck and have fun...

Certainly a worthwhile goal, but I wouldn't go crazy the first time out. Sure, you can replicate each and every line, hose, cable on the real car but IMO sometimes you end up with a sum that is less than the parts. It is a balancing act building a clean, detailed replica. I would start with plug wires, a few of the more obvious larger hoses, etc. and see how you like it before going all-out. Of course if you're building a 1/16 scale you can add more without getting cluttered. Just my .02, do what makes you happy :)

Thanks for all the replys guys. Magnum those diagrams are AWESOME. Im going to try to print screen them and print them out to take to the man cave with me to the work area. They are absolutely awesome. Bruce Im going to take your advice Mate and see what hassels and heartaches it leads me too. If all goes well the first attempt, Magnum has given me some valuable info that will keep me busy for a bit the second attempt lol. Thanks again all very much appreciate our help.
