gtx6970 Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 I sent Ron an email if he had any interest in converting the currently avail D100 to a heavier D300 or larger. And he's interested. If you are contact him at andrews_544@hotmail.com I already have my name in the hat on the 1st two out of the mold. I want to do this truck and others
disabled modeler Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 I like the cab lots!... Cool! Bad part is it will be expensive?
gtx6970 Posted January 21, 2013 Author Posted January 21, 2013 Price ? unknown. I am not the manufacturer, just simply passing on the info. But I have one of his D100 4door cabs and I think it was in the $35-$40 range
Edsel-Dan Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Didn't Richard Petty/Petty Enterprises use one?? Or was it a standard cab??
gtx6970 Posted January 21, 2013 Author Posted January 21, 2013 Didn't Richard Petty/Petty Enterprises use one?? Or was it a standard cab?? I have a picture of a Petty hauler truck very similar ( if not the same) as this era cab. And it is a 4 door cab. But I ' think' it's a later 60's model years cab (will post as picture tonight )
Sundance Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 (edited) i am very interested....hope it will be done A lot of possibilities......most of the late 60s-early 70s Mopar NASCAR/ARCA teams used the cab with some variation of the ramp back. The Petty and the Snake trucks were D700 crew cabs Drag racing possibilities are the Snake & Mongoose haulers, Sox and Martin and more..... Edited February 13, 2013 by Sundance
Ben Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 I would be interested for sure!!!!!!!! I have two of the resin crew cabs that Tom Coolidge made but they would need to made into the heavier version. A friend, who is a member on this forum is currently working on a styrene "kit" of the transporter bodies that were used on the Snake and Mongoose trucks. Here's a bunch of pics of the real trucks. http://www.public.fotki.com/lotso/snake-funny-car-tra/
gtx6970 Posted February 13, 2013 Author Posted February 13, 2013 I for one sure would be interested in a couple kits to do the bed

But I ' think' it's a later 60's model years cab (will post as picture tonight ) The Petty hauler, which later became the Snake hauler, is a '67.
