Psychographic Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 By the way, the wheels are really really hard to squeeze into the tires, so I am hoping my paint will not get scuffed or wrinkled on the way in. Can't you sand the hole in the tire to enlarge it a tiny bit?
Dr. Cranky Posted January 27, 2013 Author Posted January 27, 2013 David, it can be done, but the tires are so beautifully cast that I don't want to take any chance with them, other than sanding off their sheen and making them look a bit road weary.

Took a while, but it looks better.I will paint the guitar last, I think, as the crowning last touch. We still have a ways to go. Spent the day spraying primer.
