om617 Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Hi. Does anyone know if there is made scale kit`s of 1963 Oldsmobile? Scale 1:24 & 1:25. Also if anyone know if there is made kits of the 77-79 Chevrolet Caprice/Impala coupe in same scale as above.
george 53 Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 JoHan did a 2 dr annual coupe.I have one. I'm not sure about a convertable. I've never seen one, but that's not to say there isn't one.
Gluhead Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 They sure did. Typical '60's type tooling, but the body is captured well. 1/25 scale. There's a promo convertible, as well. I don't believe anyone did the 2 door Impala you're looking for, but I do know there was at some point a resin 4 door available. It may have been an Art Anderson offering, but don't quote me on that one. Someone will chime in to correct or confirm. I know I do still see them pop up occasionally on ebay, and it could be converted with some work.
om617 Posted February 27, 2013 Author Posted February 27, 2013 Thanks guys. I see that the Starfire have a little diffrent roofline than the Holiday. The Holiday have a very similar roofline to the 63-64 Impala. Maby it is possible to modify and take the roof from a 63-64 Impala on to the 63 Oldsmobile. I guess i will have to be patient and see if they maby make a coupe of the Caprice/Impala someday.

I found one ht & convertible on ebay, both where put together (Not very good). Would you consider trade/sell the 63 Oldsmobile?
Edsel-Dan Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 For the "Holiday" hardtop, yes you will need to use the roof from a 62-64 Chevy. You have the 63 & 64 from AMT and all three 62-64 from Revell to choose from. I had plans for one myself(use to be one in the area car club), but the Holiday grill is also different from the Starfire. Backup lights were still just an Option then. The Holiday I photographed did not have them. There is a Pair (Coupe & Convert) of 63 Starfires from a Del. seller on the bay right now for One bid.
om617 Posted March 4, 2013 Author Posted March 4, 2013 The grill is diffrent yes, also the molding on the sides of the body.
