Dune Buggies are back!

These are afew Dune Buggies I have built over the last few years.

MPC V-rod rebuilt from a glue bomb, It has new plating, Tamiya Candy Lime Green paint.

This a Revell re-issued Gypsy Dune Buggy. Paint is Tamiya Orange with gold pearl in clear over that. Wheels are Monogram and tires are from Jimmy Flintstone. I scratchbuilt the exhaust.

This is an old MPC Sand Shark. It turns out that there was a real dune buggy called the Sand Shark and ws manufactured in southern Michigan not too far from MPC. This was a glue bomb I had the chrome re-done, paint is Tamiya Mica Red and those are the original kit decals. This is a box-art replica model and one of my favorites.

Very cool. I've always liked those old buggies. Especially the sand shark, dig those kit decals.

Cool stuff, Andy. Very groovy graphics on the sand shark! I'd love to find a Meyers Manx kit, but no luck so far. The Sand Shark dune buggy would be another good choice, but those are probably more rare than the Manx!
