To do it because you could... well thats awesome. Good luck selling it... as if someone will be interested in a scale model of a historical race car done in the multimedia of gem stones. It is art, do not get me wrong. I am sure it took tons of skill and craftsmanship to create. But could you find anymore disparate things to go togehter?
