I emailed Casey a few nights ago with an update of what is going on. The Torino should be finished this weekend, just a few parts left to go on it and then decals. I did notice that somewhere along the way the wiper motor seems to have gotten lost, I used one from my parts box to fill the space. I've also added some details and tried something new with this build, I think it finishes it off nicely but I don't want to give it away just yet but I know everyone is gonna be asking how I did it. Also, next weekend there is a contest near me so I'm going to enter the Torino and see if we can get some hardware to show for all the effort everybody has put into this build, several forum members will be at the show and will be able to see it in person. As of this week I have had the Torino for 1 year, not bad considering I had to take several months away from building after my accident (and still 3 months less than another member who has called me out several times took with his part of the build). As to the fate of the Torino, I vote to auction it off and give the money to a boys/ girls club or buy a few kits with the money and donate them to the club. I've heard mixed things about the Model Builders Museum, it seems like they are more interested in vintage items.

I wasn't sure when the Monogram Packards were released I know the Duseys and Cord came out in the mid 60s, the Mercedes Monogram did I'm pretty sure came out after the JoHan.

I would guess it was probably canceled when Monogram released their Packard kit.

Sorry I haven't updated lately. While I was off work I really couldn't do much and now that I'm able to work on it I'm back to work. The chassis, interior, and body are ready to go together I just need to find the time to get back at it. Here is how it sits right now. I'll see if I can get the windows in and join everything together this weekend. And here is my hand, you don't want to see what it looks like under the sock... Still going to PT twice a week, my third finger still won't quite straighten out but I'm working on that.

Yeah I have 1....only one I've ever seen. There was also a #1 Dennis Setzer Mopar version, also hard to find. They don't even come up on ebay very often but when they do they go for much more than your regular Nascar kit.......which at this point you can hardly give away.

I saw a bunch of Facebook posts about the passing of Bill Golden yesterday and today so I googled for more info. He actually died in April of 2011. I have no idea why the news just hit Facebook yesterday, people will share anything without ever actually thinking about it.

Round 2 can't afford to do new tooling ?? Really, have you looked at some of the new tooling they have done in the past few years for different Star Trek and other Sci-fi builders ?? Some of those kits are not cheap to buy and couldn't have been cheap to tool up. Why would they bother doing anything but reissues of automotive kits when they car make more money selling Sci-fi kits. Don't try to reply about this saying the licensing is killing new car models, those Star Trek licenses Space 1999, and others aren't cheap and easy to get either.

Over the past few years I've found 4 or 5 cans of Testors Model Master Lacquer that have leaked like that. The first time it happened I just threw the can away, when I noticed it again I tested the paint out and didn't have any problems. Testors MM lacquer is the only brand I've had it happen with so now I'm careful about where I store those cans. Still don't know what causes it or why it happens and it doesn't seem limited to any particular color.
