  1. Lee, you have GOT to find a better employer !!! LOL!!! I was looking forward to more updates on these and now I guess I'll have to wait. Just because you can't post pics, don't forget to take them, I'm gonna need to see waht you're up to, so I can steal more ideas.
  2. I've been following along and I'm continually blown away by your work. The engine looks great !!! I hope those pics I took helped out, it certainly looks like the one I saw in person. I'll be waiting for the next update.
  3. Hhhhmmmm, seems like I've seen this before......LOL !!! Must be my imagination or deja vu all over again. Wasn't expecting to run in to you over here.
  4. Well, you can imagine I was surpirsed that you used my question in the magazine this month. But you got my name wrong !!! It's RON, not Don. And just how often are you asked about using someone's name on a kit ??? Thanks, ( I think ) anyway, still giving you a hard time, Ron-slantasaurus
  5. No problem Bill, I took the pics for my own reference and I'm happy to share. I've already helped some other friends on other sites. BTW the 1 spark plug is at the bottom of the engine, where you would expect to find the drain plug. I had to follow the plug wire around the engine to find that out myself. I also have a few of these kits, started 1 about 15 years ago and put it away till my skills improved to the level the kit deserves...still not sure if I'm there. LOL. Might have to dig that thing out after I finish the stuff on my bench (300C limo ). Oh, and I still haven't found a suitable match for Turbine Bronze...might do mine in black, I saw a Pro Street Turbine car that color and really liked it.
  6. Here is a link to my photobucket album, you'll find some pics of a Turbine engine on a stand. Hope they help. http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y128/slan...02006/?start=80
  7. OK, so AMT is to blame for slandering my name on a Chevy. I didn't think you'd do that to me. LOL. Thanks for the reply Jairus.. BTW I've already thought about using the 41 Plymouth front clip, about 1/4" too narrow to work and a LOT more work than I'm willing to put into it, I'd pretty much need to vertically section 2 cars together to do it.
  8. Hey Jairus, I understand you did the design for the AMT 39 Chevy Wagonrod kit. Is this correct ??? If it is, it is a wonderful kit, modern chassis, great detail, nice design, etc. BUT, I have to know, how in the HE@#$#$ did you use my name on A CHEVY !!!!!!!!!! I've been a hardcore MOPAR MAN for 20 years...and I've never even met you, how could you do this to me. Of course I'm only half serious in writing this, I was completely shocked to walk into a hobby shop and see my name on the side of a kit box, but COMPLETELY ashamed/embarressed that it was on a Chevy. I think you owe me an appoligy, AMT wouldn't even give me a free kit for this. LOL. I have been trying to find another kit to bash one together with, wanted to use the 41 Plymouth, but the difference in width of the bodys is a little too much work. I'd really like to build this kit, but I just can't bring myself to build it as a Chevy...I don't even like typing that "C" word...
