  1. When you buy a car like that it's "any color you like".
  2. Testors does the Saleen S7 as a diecast, basicly an unassembled Maisto. Nice kit, goes together easy, looks good when done. They can be found on ebay under $20. Just search Testors 1/24 kits.
  3. Tinley Park High School 6111 W 175th Tinley Park, IL Admission $6 more info: www.uniqueeventsshows.com
  4. Anyone remember the old Samsonite suitcase commercials where they put it in a cage with a gorilla ??? UPS uses that as a training film........
  5. 20's: 1929 Cord L-29 the first front wheel drive car, I'll take any body style 30's: 1936-38 Dodge or Plymouth coupe, we have plenty of Fords from the 30's but NO Dodges or Plymouths 1930-37 Dusenberg, Monogram/Revell needs to come out with some more body styles for their old Dusey chassis 1935/36 Auburn 851 Boattail Speedster, can we PLEASE get something better than the old Lindberg/Pyro tooling ???????? 40's: 1948 Packard 1946-48 Plymouth coupe, Ramchargers High and Mighty and Lee Petty 50's: 1957-59 Dodge D-500 and DeSoto Adventurer, 57-59 Dodge Sweptside P/U 1955-58 Studebaker Hawk 1953 Buick Century, 1955-57 Buick Roadmaster 1953 Olds Fiesta, 1955-57 Olds 88 60's: 1960/61 Chrysler 300E/F, 1968 Barracuda 1966-69 Buick GS 1963-66 Dodge Dart GT 1960-66 Plymouth Valiant 70's: 1970/71 Chrysler 300 / 300 Hurst, 70/71 Plymouth Fury GT 1971/73 Buick Riveria GS 1975-77 Chrysler Cordoba 1973/74 Plymouth Fury / Dodge Monaco 4 door 80's: 1980-87 Olds Cutlass / 442 1986 Dodge / Shelby GLHS I can't think of anything from the 90's, besides that list should keep Revell busy for a while since Round 2 doesn't seem interested in new tooling........
  6. ....and what would be wrong with Converses ??? I don't think they are dated to the 80's, they were around long before that and are still around.........
  7. Yeah, the spoiler is from the 91 Formula. I might be interested in that bumper........how does it match up as far as width ???
  8. Parachute pants and a mullet is NOT a good look for someone that age...........or ANY age.....
  9. Hhhmmmmm, maybe he just got done mugging Berrnie Eccelstone ??? http://msn.foxsports.com/nascar/story/F1-boss-Bernie-Ecclestone-attacked-outside-London-office-112610
  10. I was just out driving around and I saw a red 77 Trans Am in traffic. After stopping at the gas station, I headed home and saw the same Trans Am parked in front of one of those "We Buy Gold" places. The first thought that came to my mind was "I wonder how many chains he's selling ???"
  11. No, I wasn't serious..........I guess sarcasum dosen't translate over a computer. I was semi-serious about the Genesis though. Most modern cars just bore me to tears........ I'm also surprised nobody has mentioned the Ford SVT Raptor 4X4, it's been a while since there was a good 4X4 kit.
  12. AMT actually announced they were going to do the Bentley Continental GT before Round 2 collapsed, would have been nice to have gotten that kit but it probably would have been a half assed effort like the Caddy Escelade, Chrysler 300C, and 06 Camaro. I'm surprised no one has listed exciting cars like the Prius, Leaf and Volt..... What about the Panamerica, everyones favorite 4 door Porsche ??? I don't think it's the lack of kits of new cars killing modeling, it's the lack of desireable new cars to kit. That said, a Hyundai Genesis coupe wouldn't be bad.
  13. If I remember right I think Hot Rod did a feature on the Super Shops car, I might still have the issue...........I was working at Super Shops durring that time and used to have all kinds of pics of that car.
  14. Very interesting...........I've been working on a custom 87 T-Bird for some time and I put it back in the box because I havent been able to come up with a way to do the rear end styling. This gives me ideas........although I don't have a Mustang to steal a rear bumper from. Here's an idea of where mine is going.
  15. Yeah, this has been released before in 1998 or 99 along with a convertible version. One of the best from the AMT/Ertl era before Round 2 screwed with everything. I built a hardtop a few years ago the only issue is getting the ram-air set up to line up correctly. One other note, according to what I've found the wide body molding that is molded in was only available with a vinyl top yet no vinyl top moldings are on the body. To build a car without a vinyl top you should remove the molding on the sides which would be a real b!t*h.
  16. I don't like the list of kits.......I was kicking around an idea for a 67 Charger but it isn't on the list. Not much on that list I would even consider building.
  17. I don't understand what the problem is, yeah the price is high but when was the last time you saw one of these for sale ??? Nobody is forcing anyone to pay that much, the buyer must decide to pay that much. It's not like these kits are falling from the sky or have been reissued like the Dukes of Hazzard Charger. A hobby shop owner who I know told me to think about it like this: How much are old baseball cards worth ??? That's because they got put in bicycle spokes or got thrown away when the kids grew up. Model kits got built, blown up, thrown away, etc. How many are left ??? Supply and demand. At least with a model kit after you spend your money on it you can build it, a baseball card you can't do anything but look at and read the stats. They made a lot more baseball cards than model kits back then...........What's it worth to ya ???
  18. Try using Sharpie markers, you can find them anywhere and you don't even have to clean a brush when you're done.
  19. I've never had a day like that.........then again, I don't drink coffee or beer and I have a 2 door car.
  20. It looks like the answer to a question nobody asked...........Or as an auto writer wrote about the new Beetle, it's a Jetta in drag.
  21. under here.........
  22. I don't think the forum has enough space or bandwidth to list them all but it's safe to say this one won't get finished in the next 6 weeks........
  23. Now there is a kit that you don't see built often.......and very well done, the guitar is nice all you need is a drum kit and this would be ready to rock.
  24. The kits don't surprise me........that you left the house does !!!!!!!!
  25. Last night I went into a Meijers for the first time ever.......they don't have many stores around here. Anyway, they didn't have any kits, just a few Hot Wheels. It didn't seem like the kind of store that would have models, I was expecting a store like WM or K Mart but it was more like Jewel/Osco.
