  1. The following was taken from Revell's Facebook page : "Canada laws limited participation to USA, due to Province compliance requirements. This year's theme is Hot Rods which is why we selected the eligible kits. Future contest themes will vary." There you go guys.........blame your government.
  2. There is also an AMT Cord kit but its 1/12 scale. Compairing the Monogram and Lindberg (actually Pyro) kits is like compairing the AMT 72 Nova SS and Revell 69 Nova SS.
  3. Revell finally added the info on their website............. http://www.revell.com/contest/revellgearz.html

Must have just come off the trailer.........it's not wrecked yet. Nice build.
  5. This should clear up ANY Mopar chassis or engine designations.........I hope.........
  6. A few corrections here........ 75 Road Runners were also still B bodies 76-78 Furys and Monacos were also B bodies All Valiants 60-76 were A bodies 75-79 Cordobas, Chargers, and Magnums were all B bodies 76-80 Volares and Aspens were F bodies Dodge P/U's were D series Dodge Vans were B series
  7. Actually, the 74 Monaco was a "C" body, it went to the "B" chassis in 76. There really isn't an accurate C body chassis to work with. The closest would be the Jo-Han 68 Fury Police car but those can be hard to come by. The next closest would be the 71 Charger that Joe suggested or the Revell 68/69 Chargers, but they might need to be lengthened and possibly widened too.
  8. Certainly NOT before 11:59 AM........
  9. I've never heard of Tuesday Morning, just Tuesday Afternnoon............
  10. In the not just race cars catagory remember that Revell was the title sponsor for the Supernationals at the Texas Motorplex at least 1, maybe 2 years about 10 years ago.
  11. Yeah, I saw that...........so the answer is no.
  12. Am I missing something ??? Other than how it's painted, how would a zomby be any different than any other figure ???
  13. The hobby shops will probably have the info after the 1st of the year if this contest kicks off on the 15th. From the info it says you can enter online so you don't really need it. What bothers me is that it's only for Revell's 30's 40's and 50's cars...........no Mopars. I started kicking around ideas after the iHobby show and was thinking about doing a 67 Charger but that's out.
  14. http://staceydavid.com/contest.html?roi=farm-34086614-187164-49662e2e24a17bf52fd04089424d6e56& I had no problem finding it on stacey david's site.....
  15. 1st National Model Car Championships Stacey is teaming up with model car maker, Revell, to hold the inaugural Revell/GearZ National Model Car Championships. With the help of some 2,000 hobby shops and retailers, participants will be able to enter online or go to their local hobby shop to pick up an entry form and mail in photos of their models. Both Revell and GearZ are working hard to get the details finished on the National Model Car Championships. We wanted to give you a heads up so you would have enough time to make sure you have an eligible entry for the contest. The Hot Rod theme coincides with many of the vehicles built on GearZ, and with a number of new Revell releases. Complete rules are available at hobby specialists nationwide and online at www.staceydavid.com. This promotion, a skill contest and not a sweepstakes, requires the purchase of one Revell or Monogram kit from a range of kits in order to qualify. Click here for a list of eligible models. We will keep you posted once the contest opens as to how and where to enter your car for competition. This topic came up right after the iHobby show where the announcement was first made.........check back a page or 2.
  16. While that was a Rolls, the car that was in the ACD Museum was a Bentley. I can't find my pictures but you can see it here : http://www.bentleyspotting.com/2009/03/john-lennons-phantom-v.html
  17. Actually that Rolls was a Bentley.........I have pictures of it, I'll see if I can scan and post those........Oh yeah, he had 2 of them both painted different.
  18. It's Tuesday and I'm watching American Icon - The Hot Rod. This show gets better every week. If you haven't seen it yet, you owe it to yourself. You will get hooked. I can't wait until these shows are on DVD.
  19. The MPC/AMT 27 Lincoln also has some bottles that might be of some use..........along with the guns
  20. I didn't realize you could do a swap where the engine is bigger than the car........
  21. I don't have the Caddy, but if it's anything like the other Monogram classic cars in this series (i.e. : Dusenbergs, Packards, Cord 812) there should be no issues. They are old kits and a little simplified in some areas but they're some of my favorites to build.
  22. I didn't watch the trailer..........he lost me at "fewer blondes, less music".
  23. Wow, amaizing work...........I just finished the same kit !!!!
  24. The 71 Duster and 71 Charger kits both have 8 3/4 rearends..........If you want to know where all of the Slant 6 Challenger converts went to just look at the VIN of all of the Hemi clones.
