  1. Maybe they just figured their tooling would be safer anywhere except Japan.
  2. Maybe whoever wrote the warning has been sniffing paint fumes and knows from experience......
  3. No, the Countryside show is at a VFW hall now, has been for about 3 or 4 years. IF you need info go to www.uniqueeventsshows.com Hope to see ya there.
  4. Joe, I didn't see any LHSs at the last show but I did see 1 of the Brookfield Concords from the same era. These show up on ebay all the time and range from $15-35. Only a couple more weeks until the Countryside show too......If you need one ASAP, I have a friend who might be able to help, but I'm guessing his price is at the higher end of the scale.
  5. Plastistruct makes hex shaped rod in different diameters, paint silver then paint with clear red or blue.
  6. Round 2 is just leasing the tooling from RC2. I'm not sure how this will affect them. Hopefully Tomy will let them stay in charge of the AMT/MPC tooling as they have been doing a good job.....and maybe they will get some money for NEW tooling under the new ownership.
  7. i was kidding about the Boxxer engine Rob. It would solve the low crossmember and hood clearance issues but then you would be complaining that the engine compartment is too narrow.
  8. Pretty easy if you know anything. I do have to question what a 428 CJ was doing in a 71 Torino, it should have a 429 which is a different engine altogether.
  9. I just pulled out my 53 to look at the problem. I never really noticed or thought about it before but you do seem to be right. Those A arms are way low. More than anything I think it's a consession to making a kit. Using the dropped (upper holes)suspension setting and/or using short tires just makes things worse putting it almost on the ground. The only fix I can see would be to cut the A arms off the crossmember, shortening the spring and relocating them higher up......but the crossmember is still going to be hanging pretty low and the only fix for that would be a custom crossmember. With that low hood line, it doesn't seem that you have many options. Have you considered a Boxer style engine like in a Subaru, Porsche, or Ferarri ??? LOL !!! Those might be flat enough to fit.
  10. Oh look, it's a Mousestang.........Actually it isn't any offensive than any of the other Elenor clones out there, they all make me sick.

  12. "F" Now that's more like it !
  13. I voted B but the wheelbase needs to be shortened and then you could go with a shorter overall bed.
  14. http://www.valiant.org/duster.html The best discription of the Twister package is way down near the bottom of the page. I think Keith Marks might make the stripes with the Twister logo but I can't remember for sure.
  15. I want to drive behind you and wait for all of those hundreds to blow out in the road....
  16. The Cord was ahead of it's time.......unfortuneately, the Lindberg/Pyro kit isn't.
  17. Tomorrow morning on Stacey David's show Gearz he is finally doing new shows for this season and will have a feature on the Revell contest. 9AM EST
  18. I'll be there...........I'm the one who posted it on the calender.
  19. What do you mean ??? I thought that if I kept buying kits I would have to live forever to finish them all. Don't tell me there is something wrong with my logic........
  20. .........a styling exercise by Harley Earl's 2 year old grand son......
  21. I was hoping that you didn't find out by seeing it in your rear view mirror. BTW, I hear the Boarder Patrol is getting some Raptors.
  22. It would be nice, but what kit and where would you get the right decals........ Even though Nascar has gone to "common template" cars, you'd have to do a lot of work to the AMT COT as they have changed from the wing back to the spoiler and they moved the splitter under the nose this year getting rid of the braces. Even the upper part of the nose would need some work to change it over from Chevy to Ford as that is the only place on the car that IS different.
