Shelby 427 1965 Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 I love my Plymouths... This kit started out as the Sox & Martin dragster kit. Turned it into a road car, similar idea as my Charger. I painted it yesterday, it's gonna be sanded today then lacquered tomorrow. This is a mockup at the minute: Cheers!
Custom Mike Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 Great color Tomo, and that stance is perfect! This is how this car should always look, great start!
Shelby 427 1965 Posted April 11, 2013 Author Posted April 11, 2013 Cheers guys! Unfortunately the lacquer went bad - the bloody car fell off the mount after spraying, so there's some marks on the side. But, I'm gonna weather the car to make it look like it's been driven in hard rain, kinda like the race cars you see after a wet race. Won't be too much, but juuuust enough to cover the blemishes. Cheers!
Shelby 427 1965 Posted April 12, 2013 Author Posted April 12, 2013 Cheers lads Any idea on how I can lower the suspension so I can actually keep a stance like that? I can do it on the Japanese kits but leaf springs astound me...
Shelby 427 1965 Posted April 14, 2013 Author Posted April 14, 2013 Main assembly finished... Just details, weathering and decals. Next update will be Under Glass. Cheers!
