Scottnkat Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 (edited) Well, I finished another one. This is my version of a car that was driven by Ritchie Petty (Maurice's son). The car started off as the AMT Raybestos Thunderbird. I hated the paintjob on the box top, so I knew that I wanted to do something different with it. The kit was missing a couple of pieces so I made the missing wheel back and the rear end cooler pump out of resin. The decals were made by me and printed on clear decal paper. I also wired the engine. Here was my goal: and here's the completed model: Edited April 24, 2013 by Scottnkat

bbowser Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 Great model. I don't ever remember that car. Must be Ritchie was kind of like Kerry E?
Scottnkat Posted April 25, 2013 Author Posted April 25, 2013 Thanks, guys. He only raced four races, so it's understandable that you may not remember this car.
shafer Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 I realy like this one - I like that you thought outside the box to create a petty car.
