Yup, found it...

The Nissan is an awesome project Tomo... I wish I could find the Gran Turismo Polyphony Digital decals to make the Black version... Or that Tamiya would make up their mind to make the Nissan Woodone Advan Clarion GTR Uh???

I want to do the 24 hour NIssan GTR that ran with the Grand Tursimo livery that was part of the GT academy in last years 24 hour race at the Ring, I could do the decals, but not being able to print in white is the problem

Yes, that is close to the raced version , I would be happy to be able to decals for that one too

Browsing though those photos, I got the perfect idea for the GT contest B)

If you ever do the decals, please count me in for a couple sets.

My ID is gameslayer2001... I'll look you up (Even though is Skyrim lately IOI).

Instead of using solvents for the decals. Try pressing a steaming hot damp(not wet)cloth over the decals. They will set and conform instantly. Use a hot damp Q-tip for small areas. Start by usng a seft brush brushed over the decals to smooth them and get the bubbles out then hit them with the cloth. I could not have done this car without this method. The car is painted white and th rest is decals.

Dale, good tip, I am going to have to remember it

Thank you Dale, believe it or not, that is exactly how I learned to do the decals and even though my experience is extremely limited, I have always praised myself as being above the average applying them... I tried the steaming pad and the QTip, I tried with and without solvents and as of right now, there is not a single decal in either one of the bodies. Gonna have to reach out for a hand from the guys at the local club... I want to be seating down right next to the guru that will be able to place these correctly. Noticed that the material is a bit thicker than the regular Tamiya decals too.

Ah!!!, Jonathan, been browsing a lot of stuff trying to decide on the GT build

Tomo we need to meet on the GT network some day; to be perfectly honest, I have not played with the wheel lately but it sure has been fun (The GT3 took me 11 months of non stop fun to complete, all the others were significantly faster... The GT5 I only finished in B Spec).

I researched about the after market decals, could find only one company that makes them, is called Shunko, but they are sold out and they don't know when they would become available again... Also found them at Strada Sports, purchased them and this morning I got a Paypal refund with a note of out of stock... So it seems I would have to get a couple new kits just to replace the decals (OUCH!).

Found a fellow modeler that said he would help me to install them, I hope to learn his trick.

Thanks for looking into this Oscar, they have them, but with postage from AU they will be pretty close to the cost of purchasing a new kit... Is all right, it is what it is.

You are right about the decals Tomo... It is the exact reason why I didn't do it in Castrol livery the first time around.

Jim which of the Le Mans versions do you have the Denso Zard in White/Red or the Denso Black/Red... Or the PlayStation in Silver/Yellow?

Red and white Denso Zard. I've not built the kit yet as I need to come up with another pair of the fender louver pieces contained in the kit as they are located on the rear fenders as well.

Jim, I have extras of the fender trims (Assuming is the same body)... If you need them they are yours.

I can always use extra fender flairs. Thanks. What I need though are the narrow louvers that were included in the kit. I'll try to post a picture of what I am referring to over the course of the week end.

Actually, they do go on the hood. A second pair is needed for the lower rear quarter panels. Here are the parts needed, B tree 25:

And here is the instruction sheet and the aftermarket decals for the Le Mans entry:

Myself, Juan, John, Tomo , all have the same taste in car's, I have been debating about starting a race car community build thread, but I was not sure if there was going to be a lot of interest, but I think I am going to get that started now

Great idea!

We really need to get the ball rolling with the Gran Turismo Race Car CPB... I believe we need a hand full more of people to get it going.

Worked a little last night:

And primed the chassis this morning:
